Mermaid Santa Ana All Porcelain Swimming Pool & Spa

 

This custom all tile swimming pool is located in a mansion on the lower level. It is an indoor pool. All the art elements are hand painted glazed ceramic porcelain tile. The background tile is 2×2 inch cobalt glazed porcelain mosaic from National Pool Tile.

 

The center is a lap pool that is 50 feet long by 8 feet wide. The spa is 8 feet. Measurements: Mermaid – 26 feet, Water flowers – 5.5 feet and 2.5 feet, Seaweed – 7 feet, Coral – 5 feet, Spa Starfish – 10 and 12 inches, Spa Seaweed – 16 inches.

 

Before installation the layout was drawn onto the pool bottom. All seaweed stems were hand drawn and filled in with tile. After installation of the art, the background tile was installed and cut to fit around each piece.
