Byzantine Stone Mosaic Floor Rugs and Field Tile

 

These handcrafted ‘Sage’ bathroom rugs and field tiles were ordered by Rhonda Vaughan Interior Design of Grand Prairie, Texas. They were commissioned for their private client for a home in the Fort Worth area.

 

The rugs range in size from 63 to 95 inches. There are also 373 square feet of hand cut mosaic field tile 12 x 12″ sheets in an irregular pattern. The byzantine stone tesserae are 7/16″ thick and vary in size from 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

 

The natural stone mosaics are polished and mesh mounted.

 

The murals are comprised of marbles and natural stones: Dark Onyx, Dark Emperador, Thasos Snow White, Repen Classico, Thasos Light Grey and Verde Luna.
